Hello, and welcome to The Character Project! Our mission here folks is to stimulate creative thought and character development through music. Music tends to be a driving force behind a lot of wonderful artists in this day and age, and sometimes it seems that certain songs should be paid tribute. Here we hope to help properly honor that.

T H E • B A S I S


The purpose of this club is to create a character. While some people create stories from songs (aren't songs merely stories with melody?), some create characters to go along with a song. To describe a feeling perceived from a song, or from the title and subject itself. I encourage you, the members, to create a well-developed character dedicated to your favorite music or song - one who encompasses the kind of feeling you get from it. Use your hearts and imaginations.. get creative!

The original idea behind this stemmed from the fact that I tend to create characters based on songs rather often. I was also inspired by *animegirlmika's Music Project, which can be viewed in our Affiliates section.


T H E • R U L E S


To allow creative basis, I'll do my best to keep the guidelines clear and simple.

1. To join this club, merely send a note entitled "Join", or something along those lines. In the note, say what song challenge you would like to participate in first.
2. Frequently, songs (complete with lyrics) will be posted. There will be a large variety to choose from, and feel free to submit suggestions. Your challenge? You must create a character based on one of the songs available.
3. The song has to be a selection that is available. Any number of people can participate for a song, but only one submission per person on each song. This is to stimulate thought behind the design and concept of the character, given from the guidelines and details already provided by the song.
4. Be creative! While you have to use the basis provided by the actual lyrics, use your imagination to expound upon it. The more detail, the better.
5. You must have heard the song you are using as a character base.
6. Please complete one submission before moving on to another challenge. You can only do one challenge at a time (this is so you don't feel pressured).
7. A deadline will be given for picture completion, so please adhere to it.
8. In song suggestions, the more diverse the song choices the better.
9. All submitted work must be completed, which means colored. It doesn't have to be your best work, but please make an effort do to a good job.
